2. Register for the European Heritage Hub Social Forum
Are you working on cultural heritage initiatives that you want to share with colleagues across Europe? Are you interested in policy developments from the sector, and do you want to ask questions of your peers? Then we encourage you to join the European Heritage Hub Social Forum! This online community, run by the European Heritage Hub project, offers heritage professionals and enthusiasts a space to connect with peers, expand their networks, and collaborate on topics central to culture and cultural heritage. Signing up and creating a profile is easy and free for all, and you can then join thematic groups and message contacts to connect.

3. Take a course with Europeana Academy
If your professional goal for 2025 is to learn new skills and develop - or deepen - your knowledge, then enroll in the Europeana Academy. Europeana Academy is our training programme for cultural heritage professionals which combines recurring, instructor-led training sessions with a digital training platform through which you can follow online courses at your own pace. The topics on offer range from APIs, to digital storytelling, to data spaces to copyright - and more. You receive certification for completing courses and get support as you progress, so joining is a great way to progress your professional development in 2025.

4. Become a member of the European Students’ Association for Cultural Heritage (ESACH)
If you are a student or young professional working, or with an interest, in cultural heritage, we encourage you to join ESACH. This international network supports interdisciplinary collaboration, networking and knowledge sharing among those new to the sector, and organises an exciting programme of events throughout the year. They are also active in advocating for youth and cultural heritage and offer lots of opportunities to get involved!

5. Sign up for the Europeana events and training mailing list
Europeana runs exciting events throughout the year, and 2025 is no exception. This year, we’re looking forward to our annual conference, the Digital Storytelling Festival and many specialist events organised by our communities. 6. Subscribe to the European Heritage Tribune newsletter
The European Heritage Tribune is a bi-weekly digital newsletter with daily updates covering news and events that influence the cultural heritage sector in Europe. This includes politics, economy, policy, legislation, finance, climate change, digitisation, tourism and more. The Heritage Tribune collaborates closely with young professionals in its approach, and offers opportunities for students to research and share news with a wider network.
