First of all, on 8 March, International Women’s Day, you can join the Europeana Foundation's online GIF-making workshop!
Women's accomplishments and contributions to society are often overlooked and it can be challenging to find material related to women's history in cultural heritage collections. In this workshop, you'll learn how to search through Europeana.eu's cultural heritage collections to find material about women’s history. Then we'll explore simple techniques so you can create animated stickers and GIFs using free online tools. It’s open to all and no experience is necessary!

On Europeana Pro, throughout Women’s History Month, we will be talking to people involved in showcasing women’s contributions to football, the music industry and the maritime industry. Discover some of the ways that institutions and individuals are working to acknowledge, surface and highlight women’s history in their own collections and activities on Europeana Pro.
Over on Europeana.eu you will be able to read new editorials about a range of figures from history, with topics ranging from the woman who invented the ice-cream cone, to female pioneers in film, photography, the environment and more, as well as a look at the history of Women’s History Month itself!
